Marketplace Communications was appointed in 2006 to develop an initial strategic marketing and public relations campaign to assist Linc Energy’s public listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
Marketplace Communications developed and implemented a 12-month positioning campaign to establish Linc Energy as ‘Australia’s Leader in Clean Coal Technology’ in the minds of key political and investor stakeholders in Australia.
The purpose of this campaign was to research, initiate, plan, and deliver a program that added a premium to the Linc Energy share price before production progressed. Further, it is designed to develop a cache of interest prior to the listing of the ‘gasifier’.
This campaign aimed to achieve the following objectives:
- To influence the opinions and decisions of investors, stockbrokers, and analysts by positioning Linc Energy as the expert and leader in clean coal technology and infrastructure in Australia
- To convince political policy-makers and the general public that clean coal energy is the best alternative to nuclear power
- To educate the peak industry and environmental bodies on the benefits of clean coal energy i.e. environmentally friendly, renewable, commercially viable etc.
- To make Linc Energy synonymous with clean coal and renewable energy
Marketplace Communications also managed investor relations activities in an effort to elevate Linc Energy’s profile with key players in the investment sector. Marketplace Communications identified existing networking or social activities and created our own to provide opportunities for Linc Energy to establish and strengthen relationships with top stockbrokers and analysts.
